Contestants

Interested in being a contestant at the First Annual Gathering of the Bards? Beginning on May 1, 2017 we will be accepting submissions in each of three categories: Poetry, Prose and Songwriting. Submission guidelines are as follows:

Poetry

Poems must be original works, previously unpublished. Winners will be published in the First Annual Gathering of the Bards Anthology. Authors retain all rights to their works. If your work is selected you will be invited to read your poem at the Gathering of the Bards.

Prose

Short stories and other prose must be original works, previously unpublished. These short stories may be fiction or non-fiction, preferably with a Celtic or Bardic theme. Winners will be published in the First Annual Gathering of the Bards Anthology. Authors retain all rights to their works. If your work is selected you will be invited to read an excerpt from your story at the Gathering of the Bards.

Songwriting

Songs must be original works, previously unpublished. Preference will be given to compositions with a Celtic or Bardic theme. Winners will be published on the First Annual Gathering of the Bards album. Authors retain all rights to their works. If your work is selected you will be invited to perform your song at the Gathering of the Bards.

Submissions

We will begin accepting submissions for consideration starting on May 1, 2017 and ending on September 1, 2017. To express an interest in performing or having your work considered, please complete the contact form below. All contestants receive free admission to the event, plus vendor space for CDs, books, and other media-related materials.
